Our client is a leader in the construction industry, producing construction materials and providing construction services. As part of the HR Department, they are seeking to hire a Communications Specialist responsible for managing social media platform engagement and other communications for the organization. In this role, you will help build brand awareness, participate in local events/programs and assist with recruiting efforts.
Responsibilities
• Manage engagement across all social media platforms inc. timely responses to comments and messages
• Monitor social media platforms for customer service inquiries and recruiting opportunities
• Create presentations and other communication utilized by leadership
• Collaborate with recruiting and support recruiting process; qualify, screen and schedule interviews
• Build a video library of marketing, branding, recruiting and safety; take photos / videos and edit content
• Manage company website and newsletter
• Organize company submissions for recognition regionally and nationally
• Increase company awareness by participating in events and community programs
• Monitor the effectiveness of social media tools and implement changes when appropriate
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations and/or related
• Min. 1-2+ years of Communications and/or Public Relations experience
• Experience writing / producing a company newsletter required
• Experience in digital communications including all social media platforms required
• Public speaking experience
• Experience with Canon DSLR camera
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage more than one project at any given time
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, internet based software
• Possible overtime, nights and/or weekends; Ability to travel to other facilities
• Hourly role $28.85 - $33.65/hour ($60-$70K/year)
