About the Role
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and optimizing Atlassian Jira and Confluence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience working in digital media, publishing, or similarly fast-paced, content-driven environments
• Demonstrated experience establishing or evolving project management processes in growing or transforming organizations
• Strong problem-solving and facilitation skills
• Proven ability to operate effectively and influence stakeholders within a matrixed organization
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Administer and support Jira, Confluence, and related enterprise tools, including permissions, schemes, workflows, custom fields, templates, dashboards, and integrations
• Own system configuration and governance to ensure consistency across planning, tracking, and reporting
• Manage security and compliance across business applications, including identity management, audit logging, environment strategy (dev/test/prod), and change control processes
• Oversee integrations and data flows between applications (APIs, webhooks, middleware), ensuring reliability, security, and data integrity
• Act as owner of the enterprise application stack by evaluating new SaaS tools, upgrades, and migrations, including portfolio management and emerging AI capabilities
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into system configurations, optimizations, and automations
• Monitor system performance, log issues, and proactively troubleshoot application or integration failures
• Enforce role-based access control, data security policies, and governance standards across tools
• Participate in change management, release planning, and onboarding/offboarding processes
• Participate in on-call or incident response rotation for critical systems, as needed
• Ensure tools support consistent delivery, governance, and executive-level reporting across the portfolio
• Define and enforce PMO tooling standards for planning, prioritization, tracking, and reporting
• Build and maintain dashboards, templates, and reporting structures for leadership and delivery teams
• Drive adoption and effective usage through training, best practices, and enablement
This role is responsible for system configuration, governance, and continuous improvement across planning and delivery platforms—including workflows, permissions, templates, dashboards, and integrations—to ensure consistent execution, visibility, and executive reporting across a diverse portfolio of initiatives. The individual partners closely with stakeholders across project management, engineering, product, and design to translate business needs into scalable tooling standards, automations, and enhancements that drive adoption, efficiency, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep Atlassian expertise, strong communication and facilitation skills, and experience operating in fast-paced, matrixed digital environments.
Compensation:
$60/hr to $85/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
