Lead Software Engineer – GitHub Platform & CI/CD (Onsite | Beaverton, OR)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to support GitHub platform administration, CI/CD integrations, and engineering tooling initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role will function as a Lead Engineer within a small immediate team (2 engineers) while collaborating cross-functionally with 3 additional squads (12–15 stakeholders total). The ideal candidate brings deep GitHub expertise, strong coding proficiency in Golang and Python, and experience supporting modern developer tooling ecosystems. This is an onsite role based in Beaverton, OR (WFH Fridays). Key Responsibilities: • Serve as lead engineer for GitHub and developer tooling administration. • Manage and optimize GitHub administration, repositories, workflows, permissions, and governance. • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and integrations. • Work with Cursor coding tools and related system integrations. • Develop and maintain backend services using Golang and Python. • Collaborate across squads to streamline developer workflows and platform engineering initiatives. • Support integrations between GitHub, Cursor, and other enterprise systems. • Contribute to container-based development environments (Kubernetes preferred). Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience. • Strong expertise in GitHub administration. • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. • Experience using Cursor coding tools. • Proficiency in Golang and Python. • Strong leadership and communication skills. • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across multiple squads. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with container-based development (Kubernetes). • Understanding of platform engineering principles. • GitHub certification (preferred but not required). • Bachelor’s degree preferred (not mandatory).
