Job Duties:
• The CSS Intergovernmental Registration Spec is responsible for reviewing, analyzing and processing incoming intergovernmental petitions received by South Carolina under the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act (UIFSA), and is responsible for providing general child support services to clients as required or needed.
• Review all incoming intergovernmental child support petitions received under UIFSA requesting enforcement of existing child support orders for accuracy, data consistency throughout, and ensures petition meets all established document requirements.
• Utilize the Palmetto Automated Child Support System (PACSS) to complete accurate documentation related to all case activities.
• Address all discrepancies or incosistencies noted on the incoming UIFSA petitions requesting enforcement directly with the initiating jurisdictions by mail, email, fax or the CSENet function within the PACSS system.
• Interpret Federal regulations, interpret Child Support Services Division policies and procedures to ensure timely processing of cases.
• Provide internal and external customer service (e.g.; respond to emails, phone calls, facsimilies etc) within 48 hours.
• Ensure personally identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed; protect agency networks and applications by safeguarding system, equipment, and data.
• Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A High School Diploma and four (4) years of clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business experience.
An Associate Degree and two (2) years of clerical, administrative, social work, correctional, business administration, or general business experience.
A Bachelor's Degree may be substituted for the required related experience.
