Description
This focused Sr. Software Engineer will support CNO development across multiple development groups by designing, developing, and integrating tools to aid development activities. Understanding the mission, data flow, and tooling of the customer is essential. The engineer will provide guidance and vision while working with mission stakeholders and fellow software engineers to specify, develop, integrate, and test new workflows enhanced by AI/ML technologies.
• Lead a project from inception to delivery in the CNO domain, including problem decomposition, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of applications.
• Interact with mission stakeholders to elicit requirements and devise solutions.
• Collaborate with other software engineers to test workflows, identify issues, and recommend pathways for fixes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address real‑world reverse engineering challenges.
• Overcome inevitable obstacles.
Position Required Skills
• Production‑grade software development experience in Python.
• Experience with in the CNO developer domain developing tools for operational use.
• Experience with development of AI systems and customizing AI models.
• Practical experience with platforms for processing agency data sets.
• Experience with software source control (git) and Atlassian tool suite – Jira, Confluence.
• Experience interacting with stakeholders to elicit requirements.
• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages.
Position Desired Skills
• Experience working as a lead for a development team.
• Practical experience in one or more artificial intelligence domains (e.g., intelligent systems, autonomy, planning, LLMs and LLM training).
• Knowledge of end‑to‑end SIGINT collection and analysis systems.
• Experience with production CNO capabilities and operations.
• Familiarity with cloud computing technologies (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with web application/UI development.
SWE3 Qualifications
12 yrs. B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.
Salary Range
$232k – $283k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
